If you don't want to record a whole Annotation, you can log individual Data Tracks instead. This lets you build consistent time-series data for specific metrics without capturing everything at once.
There are various ways to record your Data Track such as via the Context app or using tools that can make HTTP requests, including services like IFTTT, iOS shortcuts, and IoT buttons.
This article covers some of the methods.
Outside the app
You’re not limited to recording Data Tracks in the app. Below are other convenient ways to record a Data Track.
Using Apple Shortcuts
Using Apple Shortcuts
With Shortcuts, you can create a button on your phone's home screen that you can tap every time you want to Annotate. To set it up, you can use this template or follow the instructions below:
Open the Shortcuts app
Tap the + on the upper right-hand corner
Under Actions, scroll down to find Context or use the search bar.
Tap it to see a list of actions you can do. Then, choose Record an Annotation (Note: Annotation here refers to Data Tracks).
Tap the variable box to select which Data Track you'd like this Shortcut button to record.
You can test to see if it's working by pressing the Run (▶) button on the bottom left. Then, go to your Timeline or Record tab in the Context app to see if your test was recorded.
Tap Done

Add a Shortcut widget for multiple buttons
If you have multiple Annotations and want to have a Shortcut button for each of them, adding the Shortcut widget is the best way to keep them all in one area of your Home Screen. Here's how to set it up:
On your iPhone, touch and hold the background of the Home Screen until the apps begin to jiggle.
Tap Edit at the top left of the screen and choose Add Widget.
Scroll down, then tap Shortcuts.
Choose a widget size.
Tap Add Widget, then tap Done. The Shortcuts widget appears on your Home Screen.
While the apps are still jiggling, move the widget where you want it on the screen, then tap Done.
You'll need to create a Magic Link for your Data Track to be able to record Data Tracks via HTTP requests (e.g. Flic buttons, IFTTT, custom integrations). Click here for a guide on how to create one.
