To see your Garmin data (including steps, workouts, heart rate, sleep and more) in Context, you first need to connect your Garmin Connect data to Apple Health, where Context will collect it and combine it with data from all of your other sources.

Connecting for the first time

If you have not previously connected Garmin Connect to Apple Health:

  1. Make sure the Garmin Connect app is installed and up to date on your iPhone.

  2. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  3. Tap More (or the menu icon) in the bottom right.

  4. Go to Settings.

  5. Look for Health & Fitness or Connected Apps, then choose Apple Health.

  6. Follow the prompts to connect to Apple Health.

  7. When the Apple Health screen appears, select the data types you want Garmin Connect to share with Apple Health and Context, or choose Allow All.

Note: Garmin Connect may need to be open in the foreground on your iPhone for data to sync into Apple Health. If data seems slow to appear, open Garmin Connect and wait for it to finish syncing.

Checking your Garmin and Apple Health connection

To confirm that your Garmin data is properly connected to Apple Health and available to Context:

  1. Open the Apple Health app.

  2. Tap the Sharing tab.

  3. Select Apps.

  4. Find and tap Garmin Connect.

  5. Make sure the categories of data you want shared with Apple Health and Context are turned On.

If Context and Garmin Connect are properly connected to Apple Health and you are still not seeing your Garmin data in Context, you can try:

  • In Apple Health → Sharing → Apps → Context: tap Turn Off All, then Turn On All

  • In Apple Health → Sharing → Apps → Garmin Connect: tap Turn Off All, then Turn On All

This will refresh the Apple Health permissions and can often resolve syncing issues.
